cheers dude, now this might be a silly question but wiring is new to me so please explain....
Does the IG meen ignition? Does the S mean starter and does the L meen Live????
Now what about the wires that come out of the fues box? what about any of them? Gilly was saying something about the fat white wire?
Need t know as getting a mate to help me on Sunday
cheers for the help
Adam
IG = ignition
L = Lamp (dash)
S = constant (i think)
its been ages since i did mine, seeing as no one else wants to help (yes i had the same prob, different wires and no kent to tell me why!)
pretty sure i have the actuall pics and diagrams on my other puter, ill see if i can dig them up. Altho id reccomend checking everything over with a multimeter before starting.
You saved me going back to my car and looking at the plug, thanks biggo. Now I just need to make a loom lol...
My adm fwd ge alt plug had different colours to that, and my jdm rwd 4age has 2 black wires and one yellow

thats the thing its not the wire to look out for its the plug.
ive had red wires that were ground and black wires that were constants, itd pay to have a body loom manual. which come to think of it i do somewhere
IG = Ignition
L = Lamp
S = Sense
Ignition (Ignition switched 12v)
Yellow should be the lamp (Goes to ground when the alternator spins up)
thick White should be sense (Goes to battery to sense battery voltage for voltage regulation)
Why hesitate when you can accelerate???
Yellow 1984 KE70 Corolla, 1.3L 4K-C, Tighe 104 Cam, Electronic Dizzy, Dellorto DHLA40s,
4-1 Hurricane Extractors, 2" Exhaust System, 5 Speed, Factory Mags, Towbar, 33 RWKW Last dyno.
or, how i like to know it
"Ignition
Light
Signal"
Ignition is not in the loom for ke70, so just put the coil ignition to this or set something up with a relay or what have you
Light is the Yellow w/ White trace wire in your picture, trace it back from the original alternator plug
and
Signal is the thick white wire, get that from the original loom aswell that went to the alternator
Then you be cranking b82rz 2g4 in no time!
