Hey all,

trying to wire in some 1zz coils to my haltech and i need a pinout for them. I also need the coil settings so i can set them up on the haltech software, i'm hoping someone will know if they are a rising or falling edge signal, and if they have a smart or dumb ignitor module.

I'm also using a Gze CAS and i need to know if that has a rising or falling edge signal.

any diagrams/advice would be great
Cheers

the 1zz coil wiring has been talked about on Toymods before. Search for a thread by "shelldrake". May also have the ignitor info in there.

4AGZE CAS is falling edge if memory serves me correctly.

Theyre smart so just run a dwell of 3 ms. cant hurt them.

As for pins. looking into the coil pack or at the back of the plug pin 1 (LHS) is ground, next pin is trigger to go to haltech, pin 3 is IGF, just leave disconnected and pin 4 is ignition 12V.

you guys are champions... that's exactly what i needed.

i'm assuming the wire that goes to the haltech is the trigger wire for the coil?

new problem,
coils fire when you have the plugs out of the engine, but when the plugs are in the head there is no spark, untill you stop cranking the engine and you get one spark as the motor stops turning over.

had this issue before using 1jz coils but i couldn't solve it

Hey mate
You must have the trig terminal & ground terminals and wires from ecu mixed up.
You also need an aftermarket ignition module or 2 to run the coils as i don't
think the standard one is compatible with the Haltech.
Try and call Haltech tech line they should be able to help you.

which trigger terminals do you mean?

i have a haltech ignitor, but i removed it to use the std ones that are built into the 1zz coils. they are working as it gets spark, but only when the plugs are out of the motor
