Just a heads up on the roll out of the mobile speed cameras, they're using white ford territories , have special mounts on the roof. There will be no warnings except on the side of the vehicle. Drive safe and don't speed :)

over $500mil in revenue,
Seriously what the fuck.
There will be a UK style revolt.
In SA there was quite a few cases of bricks etc been thrown through windows.
Its absolute BULLSHIT.
Especially since youre not getting fined on the spot, you dont even KNOW youve been fined (your brain cant relate to illegal behavior etc.) if you get a fine in the mail a week later.
Does nothing.

Apparently warnings only will be issued for approx the first month.
Obviously I would not rely on that though

They will be so easy to spot its not funny, you can practically see the camera on the car.
Come to Victoria where there are no warning signs and the cameras are inter grated into the cars bullbar.

i find this statement hard to believe...
"Fines will also be waived for the first month of operation, with drivers recieving a warning letter, instead."
this to me points out exactly what AJPS has said
"On the roof is the infrared flash, which is invisible to the naked eye to avoid distracting drivers caught at night."
so you wont even know you have been caught...

there wont be a revolt, people are ok with it because of the anti-speeding/saving lives campaign (aca, tv ads, billboards etc etc etc).
its a fear campaign.
a style of marketing... people pay to be safe (taxes for this shit, war etc). and tell themselves well atleast they are keeping the roads safe.
they could start by guiding young peoples instinct for danger instead of using it as an excuse and slapping us down. all i see is more laws, more police, more acceptance for road policing, bigger fines and less tracks, less track time. graffiti is jailable, hooning is worse than murder, skateboarding is illegal, everything is illegal... stay indoors and play video games while your government taxes you to pay for war and more means to tax your ass.
we're trained not to stand up to stuff like this... next time you get a fine protest it to the endth degree.
and lets not forget this is part owned by a bank who profits from it... along with fixed speed cameras.
more teens die every year from suicide... if they could tax that im sure they would.
watch v for vendetta if you havn't, they make a great point about the way the world is going. your liberties are slipping out from between your fingers.
