i have two ae82's sitting in the drive way im trying to get a roady on one i went to swap the exhaust over the bolts that hold it all in place appear to be a 14mm but i cant get a rotation out of it socket spins on bolt.

if anyone knows a good non destructive way to undo the bolts so i can swap the exhaust over would be great

working on the car atm so call me on 0425 281 503 if you have any ideas or spare time to help

If this still hasn't been resolved...

1. Try these bad boys http://www.vetquip.com.au/products/Orthopaedic%20Stainless%20Steel%20Vise%20Grip%2020 cm.gif if they can fit in there.

2. If that doesn't work, grab a 13mm socket and absolutely whack it onto the nut and push hard when you rotate.

Just my 2c. There's probably a less bandit way of doing it.

yer i managed to get them off kept soaking the shit out of em with wd40. and bashed a 13mm socket over em cheers was just a bitch of a job because i was working under safety stands that weren't overly high.

thanks for the tip. off to buy a $20 socket set for future use lol

what i do is just purchase individual cheapie sockets in 9mm 13mm 17mm and some CRC

covers most of what you will need with a corolla
