Gday,
I'm looking to sell or swap my 3S-GTE engine that I have been building to drop into my AE86. I've had this bad-boy for a number of years now and simply lack the remaining time, motivation and money to finish this engine off and put it in my car...Sad to not finish it and have it running, but have moved on.
Note Engine is NOT complete, and still requires some work...but is 90% there.
A significant amount of time and money has been put into this engine over the years...lots and lots of custom work to fit into my AE86 and was building to achieve a comfortable, reliable 200rwkw for track skids.
I puchased the engine orginally from a mate's mate who began the rebuild and I have continued it up to now. I can't even start to add up the time and money that has been spent.
Details:
3S-GTE, Generation 1, 1998cc, rebuilt from the ground-up:
Block deburred and smoothed
Rods deburred and balanced
Brand new Forged pistons (can't remember the make...its been years!)
Head and Block machined
Head deburred and oil galleries smoothed to improve oil flow and return from head
All new seals, bearing, o-rings, gaskets etc.throughout
Head inlet and exhaust match ported, openend and smoothed
Custom work:
Steam-pipe low-mount Turbo manifold with Garret T28 turbo (from R33 skyline) (T3 flange)
Custom tigged aluminum intake manifold to clear AE86 bonnet.
Custom modified sump: Larger oil capacity and raised to clear crossmember. Custom pickup and baffles to improve oil pickup and common oil starvation issues known with this engine in a vertical rwd mounting.
Custom oil lines for turbo
Custom Crank-angle sensor (replaces dizzy) and clears AE86 firewall
Ancillaries:
Machined and balanced flywheel
Extreme HD clutch
4Y bellhousing (still requiring small mods to fit engine and box)
W57 tight gearbox with custom drilled crossmember to fit AE86
HKS genuine 600x300 core front mount intercooler (great fit for AE86)
RX7 high capacity injectors (can't remember cc)
Work still remaining:
Sump and pickup to be fitted (have just made some mods for the dipstick)
Flywheel and clutch to be fitted
Custom water lines for engine (and general water plumbing)
Source and fit a suitable alternator (likely require custom bracket to fit onto intake side)
Sourceand fit suitable throttle body (inlet manifold designed to suit a generic 50mm commodore throttle body)
Turbo plumbing
Requires a computer
Custom engine mount brackets to suit car (I have designed brackets to suit AE86 crossmember with 4AGE mounts, but not built them)
Fitting all ancillaries, wiring, tuning etc.
Also included:
All original wiring and fittings
Engine Stand
Tailshaft (may/may not fit-up depending on diff)
Loads of research papers on the engine and conversion
I am looking to sell this engine package for a measly $3500, or will consider swapping for a complete and running 20V 4AGE + T50 that I can drop straight into my AE86 with no issues. I badly want my car up and running with minimal time and money!
Location: Near Blackwood in Adelaide. Am willing to send interstate (buyer pays freight).
Please post or pm me for any more info.
