View Full Version : Wanted: AE82 Twin Cam!

Hi gents,

I’m after an AE82 Corolla Twin Cam. I’m not after a stock standard Twin Cam. I would prefer one that has had a few mods.
I will pay more for one that’s in VERY good condition. I would like to avoid rust all together. But, because of the age these cars, I do expect rust. If there is rust, I would prefer that it only be surface rust and easily treated.

The engine must be in sound working order i.e. no leaks, knocks or gremlins.

I am willing to cough up $5,000. Potentially more for one in excellent order!
I’m wanting it for daily/track purposes – hence what I’m willing to pay!

Cheers,

Stew.

P.s. Prefer VIC but, willing to travel to SA/NSW if it's worth my while!

Hey guys

I'm thinking about selling this car as I haven't driven it very much in the time that I have owned it which has been about 6 months, reason I brought it was that I was going to use it while I worked On my ae86 which has been my daily for the last 6 years, but now Im thinking of completely de registering the ae86 and turning it into a track car and buying something to tow so this thing can go as its no longer needed.

In the time that I have owned it has driven pretty well , only thing which is wrong with the car is that the reverse can crunch into gear and has developed and issue were it doesnt want to rev when not in any gear, this only happens when you pull up at the lights, trying to work it out at the moment think the tps is dirt.

Car will come with what ever is remaining of rego on it which I think is about another 5 or 6 months will have to double check , but rwc will be dependent , It wont have an issue getting a rwc as I purchased it with one and have only changed some exterior and interior bits n pieces on the car.

Cheers hachirusto!

Tempting for sure! I'll keep this one in mind. Interested to see what else is about as well. Rather not settle on the first option.

Thanks,

Stew.

BUMP

So I may be asking a little too much as far as item condition is concerned. I don't mind if it's not 100% mint. I can put up with a few scrapes and dents. If it's in Vic, a motor isn't necessarily necessary! As long as the outside is in reasonable shape!

I'm keen to scream in one of these. Show me what you've got!

Stew.
