the reason the carbing strut brace is sooo good is it doesnt have pivot joints. This allows it to work the way a brace should.

there was footage flaoting around of a strut's main movements under load. There was movement apart, but there was significant movements up and down. The carbing brace addresses these movemnts, as did samq's AWSOME brace, by having no pivots. The t3 will do little actual triangulatiuon, only realy helping in stretch away form the firewal.

Try evan at royal drift, im sure he had some of these... they are mad hotness :)

the one in the first post looks the goods. the t3 option looks ok aswell but for something like a brace id like it to be a one piece welded item.

kinda reminds me of the braces the ae92/93 sx have

I agree that having it pivotted isn't the best, but even rigidly welded, a strut brace isn't going to prevent any up-down movement of the strut tops relative to each other. It has almost no strength in that direction.

Also every car is different, so a rigid brace either has to be made with loose bolt holes to ensure it fits, or you'll have to bend you body to get it on. My car has to be on perfectly level ground before I can fit my rigid brace, and it was welded up in that exact engine bay.

welding it up would be the best.
but it was been argue that the sprinter turns better when the body is not too rigid.
