australian delivered models where made 1983-1985, they went to the ae80/82 after that.

JDM models went from 1983-1985 (zenki) and 1986-1987 (kouki) i believe....

i think it was the earliest part of 87 too like feb or march.

The major difference between the two are that the oz delivered were released with a 1.6 single cam 4ac

the jap version released with a twin cam 4age (big port and a small port)

and some suspension so on so forth
