Theres a bit of a difference between shooting a rifle and learning to use Military Assault weapons.

I remember when I was getting semi-automatic handgun lessons I saw a sign advertising children's classes at the rifle range and I thought WTF!!! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif

Actually..... come to think of it I was in primary school when my step-dad taught me to shoot a rifle.

I fired a 12 gauge pump action shotgun at 12. Then a variety of rifles until I was about 17. Then My Uncle moved further north. Learing how to shoot a gun isn't a good or bad thing. It's just something some people do. It didn't change who I am. I've fired an M1 full automatic assault rifle before managed to take out half a dozen trees but now I realise guns just aren't my thing.

I used to use an air rifle, then my friend lent me his super duper hich powered air rifle. This thing used a telescopic sight and everything. I was such a noob with it, the recoil gave me a big black bruise where the sight hit me above my eye.

but i dont' agree with teaching 5 yr olds to fire combat weapns... actually, i don't agree in theaching kids to fire a wepon at all!!!

i see nothing wrong with this ive shot assualt rifles in greece and turkey (before 911) and it was great fun, id rather teach kids firearm saftey when theyre young, theyre not traning to kill marely having fun just like we do in our cars! some people say drifiting is extremely dangerous and it is but not if you know how and your on a track just like shooting a gun if your educated and shooting at a range or on a farm where there are no potenital threats or poeple around its all good.

yeah it can dislocate your shoulder if you dont shoulder the rifle properly, thick recoil pads aint all that good i think they put tubes of murcury or somthing like that in them to reduce the FEEL of recoil, still takes a bit of time to shoulder and aim properly again for the second shot if your shoulder will take one http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif !
