RA40 Rack Rods

hey guys, i'm on the hunt for some ra40 rack rods, i've called up in sydney tempe tokyo spares and they dont want to sell me them unless i buy the steering rack

i've also tried repco but they dont have them listed

im thinking about heading up pick and payless in blacktown but before i do would any1 point me in another direction or any spares they might have

Ring Repco, Bursons, Auto1, etc, etc.

At about $40 a pair for rack ends or $60 a pair for tie rods (depending what you mean) then it isn't worth going second hand.

Someone will definitely have new parts for an RA40.

the part you usually want though from the RA40 when youre doing the LCA conversion is the intermeidate section of the tie rod. you can definate buy the ra40 rack ends and tie rods new, its the tie rods youll want, but i dont think youll get the 2nd part (the are a 2 piece design) new, theyll just sell you the very outer "ball joint" section, the part that wears out. i would say go to a pick and payless and actually have a look. it will be pretty obvious which part you need.

p.s it is ra60 rack ends you want. theyre the long ones.
