Why Pay $400 for a vinal retrim?
No more ugly cracks, peeling or tearing!!
$260 each + Not included is Postage and Handling (if requiring delivery)
GOT EVERYONE WE NEED! STILL FOR SALE THOUGH!
This dash skin is easy to install but if you want it fitted to your dash and live in the Brisbane area, fitting can be arranged for $60.

Woo, I'm getting one. These look fricken great, I must say that these ones look a fair chunk better than the pics in the old thread, heh. Definatly worth the money. Not worth getting the stocko repaired for that kinda cash. Will make for a more solid base for gauges, etc, too I'd imagine.

I think we need to clear up the terminology here, heh.
The dash is the instruments, clock, wiring, basically everything that's between the driver / passenger and the firewall. The stock "dash skin" usually cracks and looks crap because of that, hence, we're replacing the skin which is the plastic bit with a fibreglass replica. You will need to unbolt/unscrew the stock "dash skin" and remove it to replace it with this new one.
Essentially, it's like having a new dash with the same shape, and made of a different material.
Oi, what's the possibility of having carbon fibre models made? http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Thanks for that, the chance of a carbon fibre model is slim but were looking at doing, the materials cost more and its alot harder to work with. We're going to try one soon and if all goes well you guys will have the option of getting one but it will be dearer, we'll let you know.

dude the whole dash weighs fuck all, (it is only plastic after all)
actually now im thinking about it, a complete fibre glass replacement may even be heavier depending on how much resin is used.
it really is only a cosmetic thing.
im down for one of these,
also just rember guys with this replacement skin it will never crack from the sun again, so its a once of price for a perfect dash for the rest of your cars life.

ok guys heres the message from my mate.
Hey guys
Sorry about the wait on the dashes. Just updating you that we have made only eight so far and the reason it's taking so long is because I am the only one making them cuz my partner is gone away on holidays. As you can see they are straight out of the mould and haven't had time to even prep, cut vent holes and paint them black. Please be patient cuz I do have other work beside making dashes and other orders to fill. The materials are coming out of my own pocket so I haven't even taken any deposits on dashes. ANT.
Ok guys heres what's gonna happen.
Because there are 8 dashes that are almost ready to send out, what i'll do is the first 8 people to give me thier details through pm. will get these 8 dashes sent to them!
Sorry about the long ass wait
Cheers Xtacy, DRFTN86 and Ant.

Exactly RIGHT! These dashes are a great alternative to changing the whole dash! It's cheap and it looks great, after installed! Not only that but it is ALOT lighter than the original dash which is great for those that are into all that power to weight stuff!

hey jon
unfortunately he won't be able to do it in carbon fibre, he is able to do it BUT it would have to be dodgey work because it's just not what he specialises in.....yes carbon fibre is the same process as fibreglassing but theres some smaller detail of the process which he doesn't know to make it a perfect product.
Also Ant does not F*%K around when he is producing products for customers.
so either way your getting a great product, whilst looking good in the car and which is alot lighter than the original.
