Adjustable trailing arms generally move the diff housing back or forward. You can adjust them to be shorter which will make the car want to wheeslip more whilst turning, or you can make them longer which will make it gain more traction.

my understanding is that they also give a much better feel, being solid and not having bushes that can compress/absorb forces, meaning you can contol the car with the throttle more, when drifting or grip..

you can buy them from David lawson AJPS for 600 + postage and wait a few weeks/months, or you can get them from Raceflo or Gabe TechnoToyTuning for about the same price after the cost of delivery etc. These are here in Australia already and are $550 never used with free delivery to anywhere in Australia.

any mods needed to fit these? or is it as simple as fitting them and adjusting them to your needs?

no mods they bolt in instead of your standard arms.
used to change the diffs pinion angle, either grip or slip really.
not essential for drift but does indeed help massively according to a extremely good N/A 86 drifter here in QLD

so 100% bolt-in no mods needed? just double checking, ive bought stuff b4 that are bolt in and cost me a few hundred more to use. i heard of the changing the pinion angle, and heard it works wonders.
are these legal in NSW on the roads?

100% bolt in, T3 products are quality. don't get the issues you get with the cheap nasty stuff.
