TRD , Cartridges and Shocks

TRD offers a wide range of strut cartridges (think of them as shock inserts for the struts on McPhearson-type suspensions) and shock absorbers for Toyota applications. Low pressure shocks and cartridges are ideal for street and for stock class Autocross;
For best results, low pressure shocks/struts/cartridges should be matched with progressive rate or 'race' springs. High pressure shocks/struts/cartridges should be used with 'race' springs.

Most short stroke shocks that people fit to a cutdown AE86 strut/coilover are either a Camry, sw20 mr2, or AE92 inserts.

Standard AE86 front shock bodies are about 380mm long, and these are 340mm in the body, hence they don't carry an AE86 part number.
