hey all, i have a RWD inlet manifold but it doesnt have an air temp sensor on it, (the yellow plug), i assume this is wat controls the cold start injector but im not sure, if anyone has one give us a yell, or if they know wat model camry i can get one off, or if they know the pure affects of wat happens if i dont have one?

cheers

it doesnt cotrol the CS injector, but the car will run al ot better with the air temp sensor.

dunno where to get one, but as an interesting fact smallport air temp sensors are in the airbox.

post up a pic of the manifold, there should be a big hole where the sensor goes

yeh i dont have a hole in the plenum for it, the guy i bought the plenum from said it was an AFM manifold, but all that needed to be done was the air temp sensor, and i got told by terryo as well, so yeh im looking,

and i also have a FWD manifold which i thought might have one but it doesnt have the hole for it either, so i dunno wats going on,

how much better will it run compared to without one?

The (map sensor) big ports have it in the plenum next to the cold start injector. The small ports have a plastic sensor in the air box. The best thing to do is get a hole drilled and tapped in the plenum but this isnt easy to do. I take it your inlet is from an MR2? You could just put one of the plastic small port types in your air pod/filter base to save the trouble.
