I have a very clean JDM Levin Red/Black in Melbourne.

Got all the good bits in it and NO Rust.

Has A/c and Power steer as a bonus.

$10,500 as is...needs compliance and reg (add approx $2k)

Sorry I kind of want something cleaner where the only things I pay for once I own the car is maintenance and not modifications/paint work. Car doesn't have to be from melbourne

yeah i know what you mean but i want a car where I have no more to spend if you know what I mean..

I am seriously considering the turbo '86 in the for sale section..

Does anyone know how much a standard respray costs for white or gunmetal

rthy - Is right.

I think you need to do more research and get to know ae86's a little better. If you already do, you need a reality check.... I mean that in the nicest possible way.

14k is really pushing it... for a clean one...
probably you mean ADM rebuilt ae86. The thing about these cars is rust is a huge issue if you want one fully done you need to get it bare metal, rust prevented/repair, 2pak paint, then start thinking about the engine.

full respray can cost from 2k for acrylics
to -5k+ for 2pak and if you want customs or anything your going to have to add more.

as you can see by this thread
lewy ae86 turbo (http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/board/index.php?showtopic=24970)
alot of interests theres a high possibility the price is going to rise a bit.

you'd better offer 14k quick.

86's will usually always need work, regardless of how much you pay for it. A turbo ae86 would be even more trouble, i dont mean to be rude about it but if you want a car that wont require you to spend much maintenance/repair work an 86 is a very bad idea.

Too add also, pro k that levin is amazing if i had 10.5k i would buy it without wasting a second

I have rebuilt my AE86 from the ground up. Seam welded chassis, full 2 pack respray and rust repaired.

It is (will be) turbo'd and have a complete setup suspension and LSD.

When it is finished i'll be chasing 12K for it. So I think you'd be able to get this kind of car for 14K.
