for real? When u buy a car from interstate you just change the rego over don't ya? and get new (SA) plates made?

If you bring plates over from interstate, it will be as though you've brought a car over from interstate, as such it has to undergo an identity check at the local cop shop so you can register it, and obviously the numbers aren't going to match, you get reamed and you still don't have a car.

Advertising Plate swappin on a public forum? Might be a tad bit silly.

It'd be a lot easier and more legal for you to just go down to Motor Reg and get the engine change over form...you wont even need to change anything on your car I don't reckon since it's another 4CYL low powered engine...might be worth a look into.

if its for defect just deregister ur car and get a dodgy roady and she's apples. way easier to get dodgy roady than change the plates
