In YOUR opinion would you call your aAE 86 a POCKET ROCKET?
or would you leave this name tag to things like swifts and charades? (not they they are rockets!)

Pocket rockets are motorbikes...
I've yet to see a car I would consider a pocket rocket

I'd never call an ae86 a pocket rocket, sounds so tacky and gay.

i think i can remember older people referring to my car as that. as well as "snazzy little number" ect. lol..
i dont think any car is a "pocket rocket" anymore.

honda city turbo 1 and 2... pocket rocket
suzuki alto works... pocket rocket
daihatsu mira Trxx?... pocket rocket
the pocket rocket is usally assigned to the small hot hatchs... kei cars.
a sprinter isnt a hot hatch let alone a kei car...

LOL!
No.
I think small ricer cars get attached with that name... but not an aE86 IMO, too large. Plus the tag doesn't suit.
I've seen some fast Charades in the past, crazy, but still quick, at least in a straight line.

the only car really worthy of the 'pocket rocket' moniker (as gay sounding as it is) is a cuppacino
driving a modified one was nothing short of an eye opening experience

My AE86 isn't a Pocket rocket, but I've heard of an S2000 being referred to as a pocket rocket. I guess it depends on your definition of pocket.

nope... but i always saw the "pocket rocket" as a marketing tool to sell small cars, ive often refered those cars refered to as pocket rockets and a few similar like that as well.
the i would preceive that the pocket rocket status of a car would be compairing it to other kei/small cars, not compaired to the rest of the proformance comunitity.
a sprinter isnt a hatch.... its a lift back.

shit, my definition of "pocket rocket" is completely different to every one else. id call a swift gti, pulsar SSS, charade turbo etc etc etc a pocket rocket. sprinters falling into the same size car category as well...
my mates used to call my car the "rice rocket" which i thought was a bit of a lol

just slightly bigger intercooler, trust type-r BOV, shop-made coilovers... came in its present state from JPN.
people say this and that handles like a 'go-kart'. fuck that, cappuccino is the literal definition of point and shoot. put the foot down and steer it.
if you can get one here for less than $10,000, do it, no hesitations

There are a lot of Toyota Glanzas in NZ now, the Starlet turbos. They would get pretty close to pocket rocket status.

IMO "pocket rocket" = 5ft 3 (or shorter), blonde, tanned, boobs, aged 18 - 23. usually spotted in large quantities (insert pun) at festivals :2thumbs:
