most likely has been asked before but, have just recently bought an ae71 and was wondering if an ae86 pedal box would fit into it without to much hassle or am i going to have to source an ae71 unit

Definately far easier to get an ae71 peddle box, but as you know they fetch more than what they should IMO.

You can mod the ae86 to fit and the ke70 one for that matter, but its a bit of a headache. To the point where if was offered a FREE ae86 box, i'd still shell out the 250 for an ae71 box in lieu of cutting the peddle box / steering column and rewelding it.

What Matt said. +1

I have done 3 ke70/ae71 pedal box conversions in the last 2 months. I only bother using AE71 units.... Others are 'possible', but with far more hassle involved.
