Name: AE86 5-point Roll Cage
Description: Alloy 5 point cage made by Brown Davis. Purchased ages ago for $500 off a dude in Melbourne however I have never installed it in my car. Not really sure exactly how the 5th leg bolts in! I have the bolts and plates for 4 legs as this is all the previous owner used.

Can I suggest that the "5th leg" is probably a harness bar, that runs between the tops of your rear strut towers? I have something very similar in my car that looks like that.

Hey Tim,

It's not a harness bar, but looking at the photo I posted I can see where you are coming from :)

In the first photo you can see the bracket which the leg attaches to on the right-side of the main hoop. And here is the 5th leg from another angle:

Ah, well now that is a doozy!

Perhaps a side intrusion bar? Anyhow, I have to stop buying car parts, so I'll be quiet now, lest I convince myself I need this.

It would be a diagonal for the main hoop, and would attach into the holder to the right of the first picture. Do you know if this is cams approved?

Yeah as Will said it's definitely the diagonal bar - but as the legs extend into the hatch rather than the rear seat area, to me it's not immediately apparent exactly where it would go! I guess if you mounted it in the car it would be pretty obvious.

As for CAMS approval, I'm not sure if it would have been in the past? but afaik CAMS stopped approving any alloy cages a couple of years back unfortunately.

I am open to offers :)

Hey sorry for the late reply.

I would be happy to look at posting it, however I'm not sure it would be easy to mod for a KE70! The legs of the cage extend into the 86 hatch rather than the back seat area!
