I thought I would start up a thread on Mitsubishi Magnas
my fav car to hate.
I saw one this morning parked literally 1 metre from the gutter just wish I had my camera to take a pic of it.

Anyways post up pics of magna's being Magna's
Broken down, wrong way down a one way street, side swiped, parked like on they are on Crack & generally just being Crap.

And thank Mitsubishi for making it eaier to spot bad drivers out there..........they all own Magna's

reason you think drivers are bad is because everytime you drive you notice one more little thing, a new speed sign, road works, some bike rider etc, basically people are becoming trained to watch everything but the road.

and yep there were built for a purpose and i'm sure 99% ok maybe 88% of Magna drivers are capable drivers but I still don't really like the car.

i took this pic at the mount cootha hill climb. it had a v8 in it and was definately RWD (had some nice sideways action). someone was trying to tell me that it was magnas attempt at the V8 supercars but it never made it. either way it was awesome!

IMO if they built the magna as a FR it would of done heaps better in the australia market... i mean who wants a large FF apart from honda owners?

i had a TR wagon, 2.6, auto... the worst combonation you could possibly have, the auto would shake the car when in netural and cause problems with just about eveything. dad made me get it serviced by a mitsy dealer and the list of things to fix was quite large, we shure got stung on that one :unseen:

so in short. these things are getto... would of been cool if they were RWD but if they were they would just be another bogan mobile.

this would be a good base for an S13 IRS conversion tho + 1jz FTW.

it had a C.O.M.E racing all-alloy 400ci small block backed by a turbo400.

It also had some of the best engineering and fab work ive ever seen. The 9 inch conversion with full 5 link, the air bag setup etc... Hard to appreciate from photo's, looks 100000x better in the flesh.

A mate of mine recently had 3 of his 4 pistons exit his engine in a 96 magna. In the family since brand new, serviced regularly. The upside for him was he saw a $500 motor and a $500 fitting for said motor as cheap, I think due to sentimental value.
