View Full Version : Best colour for a sprinter

I know this will be subjective, but in a few months if all goes to plan i'll have my sprinter ready to be painted... And to be honest i'm colour challenged and have no idea of what looks good / bad etc...
So what i'm asking you is, what is the best colour to paint my sprinter?
Post up a car of that colour or even an ae86 for me to see...

Personally I love red levins and white trueno's. Both colors in panda look good too. The silver levins look nice aswell, I found out my 86 used to be silver and I might go back to that next time

At the moment I'm in love with the 'galaxy blue silica' that is on my 86GTS... Have been wondering what it would look like on an ae86

is this for the pig? Ie; track car
If so, choose something thats cheap and easy to touch up and damages occured...
ie; a solid colour

I dare say it, but dark(ish) brown with club decals in white.......
A simular brown, like the Hawthorn Hawks AFL team colours......

Well there are 2 that i'm working on atm.. One will be the beams powered daily and the other is the pig...
Red panda for daily perhaps, and the track one will have decals and shit...

Do the pig in vinyl wrap then you can reproduce graphics or colour to be exactly the same every time. Dare I say "like the V8 Supertaxis"

Bright colours are for people with poor eye sight. Black looks good but is impractical for a daily driver. There's nothing wrong with keeping it simple. 86s look great in white, red, silver and gunmetal. Timeless colours work fine.
At the end of the day, paint it in something that's easily repairable and something you won't feel ashamed of driving in 6 months time or have people throw rocks at you. That might mean not painting it up as a WWII German war plane.

do the daily in a bright purple with a triple layer pearl with some pink flake...it will definately grab some attention...
and for the track hack...you cant go past matte black for the stealth and ease
DOOOO ITTTT
