Wrong section mate. Needs to be in Technical Questions.

More of a general question than anything. What it's going to be used for is probably going to be helpful in this, obviously ke30 is leaf sprung and KE70 is coil sprung. KE30 is steering box from memory etc etc etc

I Will be using the car for my p plate's i have always had a love for both these combinations (4age & ke corolla's) so it will be a everyday driver but with some poke, and i will take to to the track when the meets are on

All good.

What sort of track meets are you aiming to attend? Sprint days? Hill climbs? Drift days?

As far as im aware a 4age conversion isn't P plate legal in most states in either car.

Yeah definately not legal to drive a car that needs to be engineered... ke70 1.3L.. AE71 would be a better bet

are you sure mate? because I rang Vicroads and all they said is as long as its engineered its fine, never said it was illegal.

that alright then.

As for ur poll, AE71 with 4age.
why? ke70 needs to get the following:
4a engine crossmember (lca will bolt in)
4a engine with exhaust, rwd mounts and gbox stays
engine loom (i think 4ac and 4kc are similar, fwd 4ac connector is similar to ae86 easy mod to suit)
alternator - not sure if the same as 4ac/4kc
t50 to suit 4a
t50 bellhousing bolts
t50 to 4ac manual gbox support/stays
t50 clutch fork and bearing
t50 clutch slave
t50 clutch line with hose (go braided for 4age convo with adm bell)
t50 clutch master cylinder
t50 shifter
ae71 manual pedal box
ae71 t50 gbox crossmember (ae86 will fit with modification, not worth it)
4ac 200mm 6bolt flywheel
spigot bearing (auto or fwd 4ac don't have these)
4ac/4age clutch (depending on flywheel size)
ae71 manual tailshaft (wagon might be s series (?) so will need to get ae86 tailshaft - better if going t series later on - ae86 tailshaft wont bolt to borgy)
ae86/t18 t series diff options (higher ratios, lsd and disk brakes)

then the ke30 maybe need custom parts like
4a engine crossmemeber
t50 crossmemeber
tailshaft
they got rear leaf spring so diff options don't bolt in (or maybe?)

lots of info on google

•has an engine that has been modified to increase the vehicle's performance (other than a modification made by the manufacturer in the course of the manufacture of the vehicle, or
•a nominated high performance six cylinder engine (refer to the probationary vehicle database).

Note: To clarify some recent reports, VicRoads has not lifted the ban on P Platers driving turbo cars. It has only been lifted for turbo powered vehicles with a power-to-mass ratio of less than 130 kilowatts per tonne, and the manufacturer has placed the power-to-mass ratio on the build plate.
