Before you lose your shit, I understand that it is
A) pointless
B) possibly expensive
C) pointless

But can you make a ke 70 (or earlier) fwd?

For awd.

Me asking the question pretty well demonstrates I'm lacking the skill I guess. Awd ke with something 4agze would be monstotous!
There are the older ae wagons that are awd, would it be worth hacking one if them up, or just steal bits off real cars?

The issue you are going to have is the rail height.

What you could do, is run north south config, gtr front diff retrofitted to a 4a, and gtr box (or similar). You would have to mod the rails for shaft clearance (like in a gtr/gts4) geometry would be a ####, but you could do it.

Just get running gear complete from an AE95? tercel and then start cutting the ke shell where it doesnt fit.

I never new the early tercels weren't a transverse layout, that's cool.

That is an amazing coincidence.

I would love to see how the driveshafts and suspension geometry are set up

Gunner

Gunner: go see it and bring back some pics of the running setup, inside the front guards etc

i would think it would be a case of front cut from a tercel...cut front off ke70...sit them side by side and make them compatible...

Google says that there is a version in the states that runs a 3a engine. the trurth about cars website I think. I.am.sitting at the airport on my phone so cant be sewed linking picture. So it is possible.

I do believe there was a KE70 converted to awd on gumtree a few months back. Had ae95? Running gear I think.

Also there are videos of a ta22 that has been made awd using r34 gear iirc.

I guess any thing is possible if you have time, skills, patience and money.

It wouldn't be hard to unstitch ae85 rails, and stitch them into the ke shell. Appears to be very similar in build.

As for looking at the car, if I get time I will, probably wont this week though.
