Hi,
I have a T50 gearbox from an AE86 that I have fitted to my current project. All my research says the capacity is 1.6litre or 1.7litre depending on the source of that information. My problem is I can only get 1litre into the box before it starts coming out of the filler hole. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a trick to filling the box that I am not aware of. Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Evan

My guess is that the car was jack-up when drained and not level, and there was oil left in the case. Warning only use GL-4 lube in the trans. Not GL-5 or GL-4/5 which can destroy the syncho's.
I've filled my trans thru the shift lever. But I would just drive for a short distance then re-check the fluid lever. Then add any more lube if needed. DaveW7

Thanks Dave
Gearbox was level when drained then removed and drained of any remaining oil. Once refitted it was refilled thru the filler. I can’t get to the shifter lever with the mods I have done. GL4 used
