4AGZE sump

Very stupid question in coming, what material is a 4agze sump? I'n the process of finding a oil return bung for my turbo and need to know what material the sump is as I believe you cannot weld 2 different metals together and i'll be getting the bung welded on. When I put a magnet on it, it sticks so im assuming it's not aluminum.

All of the stock 4AGE sumps are steel. Only aftermarket oil pans are aluminum. Just make sure you do a good clean around the area and then scuff the area down to bare metal before welding. Davew7
