Hey guys looking for some advice

I've recently been trying to start my engine for the first time but am having problems getting it started. The obvious troubleshooting has been done, battery checked, wiring checked, grounds checked, vacuums checked, running evap with cannister new vacuums. I broke the vacuum valve on the map sensor vacuum line so am.using one off a 4afe that plugs directly into the block, but have thus running off the usual lines on the BT.

Has sq dizzy relocation, starter motor, oil pump pressure up kit and water kit. Toda flywheel, extractors, cambelt. Standard ecu.

Turns over and has spark but doesn't fire, just does a really low deep backfire kinda intermittently and Flames come out the exhaust header flange (haven't put the back half of the exhaust on yet). Like it's getting fuel and then firing after, timing issue?

I'm using the two connectors off the 3au in the thermostat housing.

Am hoping for some advice maybe change the sensors on the thermostat and the vacuum on the map? Or these don't matter so much?

The 20v will start with the map sensor disconnected, but will run terrible.

Best bet is to put a timing light on it or if you don't have one, turn it to TDC and check to see where the dizzy cap should be on the lead which is heading to cyclinder 1.

Do you know if the injectors are pulsing - a noid light will tell you this? Also hook up a check engine light if you are running the stock ecu.
