i did everything, pulled plugs out, disconnected the ecu etc etc.

Without spark plugs it does about one crank rev a sec

I even pulled the started apart and cleaned all the contact surfaces. Its on the long side of old now tho. Might have to buy a new one.

It really does sound like the starter is dead tbh.

starter turns out to be fine. Still has plenty of balls.

Im now going to hunt thru some wires. Me thinks there to much current draw and nead more earth. + terminal still gets bloody hot tho.

Put it in a vice and got a jump pack on it. Then proceeded to 'load' it up with a peice of wood hehehe

Yair theres a short somewhere in the body loom. Going to have to pull it all apart again and find it.

if i had my license id head round and help ya,

sounds like the starter feed isnt heavy enough guage, and the the earth isnt great. Its obviously there otherwise it wouldnt crank, but alloy bells dont have the greatest earthing properties.

Thats the plan, theres still a short on the body loom which is causing alot of current draw.

It works fine if i remove the car from the starter circuit tho.

make up a whole new starter loom and have it seperate from the body/ecu loom, thats what I did. Let me know if you need anything made up.
