So ive done a couple of track days since the last update both ending in rear brake failure due to bent brake shoes. The hydro handbrake just has way to much pressure for the standard ke70 drums so i'm leaving the car in the shed until the new hilux diff is sorted and ready to go in.
Drift Supercup was last weekend I entered street class which had tyre restrictions to keep things even. There ended up being only about 29 entrants so every who completed a qualifying lap made top 32, I qualified 21st pretty sure i dropped a tyre on both runs. My top 32 battle was against an S13 which he had a bad lead so i just needed a solid lead lap to win which i did and made it to top 16.
After the tea break there was an open track session I had a few runs with guys in pro class and also had a few runs with Matt Russell in his SR powered AE86. The brakes ended up letting go as i was mid entry into the S's so that put me out of the top 16 battles on sunday.

So I thought it might be time to upgrade the old ADM 86 brakes with the AJPS RX7 kit. I stripped the hub down and found there is a bit of free play in it and the bearing race slips in by hand so im replacing that. I also need to fit some longer studs and a slip on spacer but it should be all sorted by the next drift practice.
