I'm a lucky bastard? Seriously though there's very few differences apart from the synchros and bearings being made from unobtainium.

I don't know it's a P-51, i'd have to disassemble it to check.

Small update:

Today i actually managed to find some time to do some work on the 18R-C's sitting up at AJPS. In little time i removed the head of the 'good-but-neglected' one, and was very happy to see only a very small amount of surface rust in only one bore. Woo.

So, it will now just be getting a rings and bearings rebuild, instead of 're-blocking' the internals to the other motor. I've left the bore with minor rust soaking in petrol for the week, after that i'll put it on the engine stand and give it a quick going over with the bottle brush hone, ready for a rebuild.

Minor win.
