Default Newbie with n00b questions lol

Ok so I am building this drift car and have a bunch of wack questions. Money isn't really a problem and i refuse to cut corners. I am not afraid to say when i dont know what to do either.

    - What diff should I use? Must be strong as F cos I dont want to be replacing diffs all the time. I have been told that the 2 best otions are either a T18 drum break rear end with a locker or a Sprinter LSD. Is the sprinter diff really that much better?

    - I want to use a w58 gearbox an I am aware that ill need the yoke from the w58 and the yoke from what ever diff I use to make a custom tailshaft. Where is a good place to start with a custom bell housing? I am in adelaide...

    - I have sourced a 4agze and will try and find a turbo manifold or get one made.

I will also be doing the following mods

    Heavy duty button clutch
    Michrotech ECU
    Front Mount

Any advice would be rad guys!

    Thanksheaps

T series diff should do the trick. i would go F series personally. alot stronger. i went through a few T series diffs with 160rwkw. then upgraded to F series.

few people do bellhousings for 4a to W5x boxes do a search. think nightparts are supposed to be good.

just get tailshaft made from scratch.

hey champ, F series comes from a few cars if u run a search on here u will find all the info u need, like said, if going turbo, an F series will be bullet proof, T series u may have issues with, LSD's ar available for both. some F series have a wider track.
Knight parts for the bell housing, u will need custom tail shaft.
Your definatly going to need to upgrade the brakes, min JDM 86 items up front. lost of other options aswell, but the best thing is to type what your looking for in the search function above and get reading, lost of info on here for sure, browse through tech articles etc.

AJPS also sells kelway turbo manifolds and excedy clutch kits.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for all the info its making life much easier. I think I want an F series lsd so ill go hunting for one, dont care abot the price really, just want the best. How do the 31 diffs hold up and how hard are they to fit?

Was thinking a GTR T28 would give it some balls hahaha

with the r31 diff you need to get all the mounts welded from a ke/ae diff

get a pro to do it doesnt cost much and you can get lsds for a 31 diff

that sounds easy enough. Ill see what an F series is worth and if its crazy expensive Ill use a 31 diff. Where did you take yours to get mounts welded on?
