i'm just interested in the difference, and what your thoughts are on either set up
opinions would be greatly appreciated, as would pics

S13 lock is determined by the steering knuckle hitting the LCA, a rack psacer can't change this, its still going to hit the LCA.
that was the case in my old setup
yeah general oppinion is s13 you end up with a bit less than with p.s arms. but its still pretty workable (lock wise).
I had two Sprinters.
One with S13 front setup, lock limited by knuckle/tie rod hitting the LCA (MX62). One stock aside from PS arms.
And after 6 months of driving them back to back I am sure that PS arms give more lock. I especially noticed as I often had to do a U-turn out the front of my house to find a park.

ideal, how come pidwell has soo much lock then???

because he uses S13 crossmember and rack set up (actually uses an S12 rack but thats a moot point)
the fact is kids, if you want shit to work, dont mix and match - ie running s13 susp with AE86 crossmember and steering does not work WELL.
interesting... but your saying using the s13 x member and therefore the rack etc works better?
x member is a fairly easy install isn't it?

yeah it works a shit load better, since the rack is in the right position to suit the steering arms on the nissan hubs, so it all works either each other and the tie rods and LCA are parallel where as with toyota rack and X member they are crossed up.
