    sounds a bit like you've melted some wiring together or something seeing as not much has changed in the actual wiring, either that or an earth has come loose somewhere, but sounds like a bit of an odd problem to me

    flat battery ? loose or missing earth strap from the block to negative/ body earth ?

    Getting there Pat, if you need a hand with any ecu settings etc let me know!

    Big difference with Yates' car and the IPRA cars is that they have dry sumps. When the motors that much lower, it can go that far further fwd.

    BTW, single piece steel pans from earlier 3S's do not fit, and even if they did you'd be removing one of the best parts of these engines.

    so this was meant to be the post where i wrote....

    but its not. everything is hooked up right and ive sorted all the little gremlins that popped up. But it just turns over and occasionally backfires.

    oh well, least i got the radiator hoses all sorted and besides starting the install is finished

    FUCKING BOOM...... runs like a mother fucker, but it RUNS!!!!!!!!!!







    however, my awesome talent for breaking shit that doesnt need breaking, means i have to get a replacement oil cooler. It has a spanky speed hole that has lubricated my driveway nicely.

    it WAS an original earls cooler. Are they THAT much better than the generic fleabay stuff??? honest opinions appreciated I dont mind spending the coin if its worth it, but not to just say i have an earls cooler ... ?

    turns out it was my ability to plug things in that held me up. The loom i got off ant - spotless, bhut unlabelled, meant i had to simply plug them in the appropriate hole so to speak. I must have been having a bad night when i plugged the coils and the injectors for cylinders 3 and 4 - they were backwards. checked with colours and wiring diagrams and swapped em round.... and off she went and there she leaked
