yea. i get head lights as normal, what im meaning is take the stalk switch off and then redo the solder in that ... by the theory it should fix it ... because it did used to work sometimes when you flick it forward for the high beam.
That sounds like it is a problem with the combination switch, not the headlight switch itself - you do have headlights when the switch is set to the headlights on position right...

yea take it out and solder all of the contact points, and then add some electrical contact grease on the rear disc part were the contact is made, I did that and haven't had a problem since

as regards to the wipers, worth taking it out checking contact points and cable tying it together, after that no idea i beleive an above post stated how to pull out the wipers so that should help u then just find a motor that fits or reco the old ones
glad this has helped afew people to btw took me ages to get mine working and was irritating with no headlights!
