Jetstar have 2 for one airfares around 500 bucks you should look into that.
I was over ther last Feb but mainly went to go boarding in Hakuba
but Tokyo was pretty cool (we were there for a week)
you should try to check out the Tsujiki fish markets (you getta get there at like 4am though)
and the big toy store in Ginza was cool
then I got the TOkyo Flu so I was out of action for the rest of the trip...stay away from snotty nosed kids tokyo flu sucks arse
