If I were to paint it that colour again, I'd want to get it colour matched, then get a proper paint job done, cause it faded something chronic. It'll probably stay the faded red for a little while yet, anyway.
Cause a picture says a thousand words. Unfortuately, they don't always explain the background story. In a nutshell, I finally got the centre bores machined out on the 13" steelies I've had for ages so they now actually fit on the hubs. Props to Dr. Wheels down on the coast for the machinework. Threw them straight on the lathe for me, took all of 20 minutes and only cost $40 to do the lot.

Haha. I don't know if I could be bothered doing that. Far too much money involved. I'm trying to restrain myself from spending too much on this thing so I can allocate more to the main source of spending (the Celica). Having this as a cheap daily is a much better prospect at this point. When I'm making a bit more money I might look into doing something a bit more exciting in the power department.

It also ran with the ignition timing on full retard. Go figure.
It runs pretty good now that I've fixed the timing and replaced all the service items. It used to struggle to pull up hills in third, but now I can pretty much pull up hills *just* in fourth. Runs a lot smoother and idles properly. It also sounds pretty awesome, even with the standard exhaust.
