Try pushing some thicker material behind if possible, ally or copper will help as the steel won't stick to it

as in in the wheel arch on the inside or between the two bits of metal ?
im guessing its just to let a bit more heat be able to come into the metal ?

    cheers kieran

Cool, yeah the steel behind will act as a heat sink and also help a bit with the steel "blowing" away.
Not much of an expert with migs but I'm thinking having your wire feed too low might cause problems as well? I could be completely wrong though
