spotted at very tidy kouki trueno today. he was even of a more mature aged driver which is cool to see.

Well, its officially back on the road now.

Still got a few teething problems though, but ill nut them out in due course.

Need to got a thermo fan on there pretty soon, don't like sitting and ildling for too long.

Also, might have to get another muffler put in, its far too loud for my liking, its pretty much the same setup that i had when i had the 4AC, but now its just stoopid.

Time to clean the shed up now, build a deck for the backyard then by then ill convince the fiance its time to get some fresh paint on this!!

thats exactly what happened with my exhaust. I got it built to be slightly quieter than my old sprinter was and it was perfect with the 4ac but when the new motor went in it was ridiculous. I put in a cat but gave it a heap more back pressure but only made it a little quieter. So i'll have to see what you do with yours and see if anothefr muffler works better

an update for me.
Put an open T series diff in the car yesterday. interestingly enough the ae71 tailshaft didn't have a bolt flange in the middle like the ae86 one did. I was thinking i'd have to go and get the front half of an ae86 shaft from somewhere but i tried a whole t18 shaft and it fitted perfectly!

Then spen this arvo pulling the front struts out and getting them prepped to build the coilovers tomorrow. Turns out they weren't cartridges they were oil filled. AND BOTH front shocks were stuffed!!! Does anyone remember the south park episode where someone dug up a dead body and the police were showing everybody the noise that sex with it would make?
Well one of my front shocks makes that noise
So what im wondering is i thought you could only get inserts for ae86 shocks so does this mean that i just pulled 26 year old shocks out of my car?
Anywho i'll put up pics of it all put together tomorrow.
