Honestly. How can you ask for a valid answer when there are engines on there that most ppl have never even heard of... OS Giken TC-16.. what the fuck is that.???? And a cosworth YDB.... seriously dude.. I've been messing with cars for over 12 years and i have never heard of these engines let alone be able to give an accurate answer to which is better... Maybe you should change the contents of your list to a more generic fieild..

Are you serious guys, are we seriously back to the days, where everyone has to have a cry because this it that isn't to their liking? Fuck me with a bunch of banana's, if you dont know what an engine is, google it, you might learn some thing interesting.

    Fucking sooks.

The Cosworth BDA is by far one of the best engines of all time, it set the standard for what we have today.

    And yes im an asshole.

back in the 70's OS giken cast and manufactured a Twin Cam 16v head (TC-16) for the datsun L16 and L18 4cyl engine used in the 510 1600s and bluebird coupe. they also manufactured the same head for the L24/26/28 6cyl engines.
they were mega expensive and were used for Grp A and killed everything site.

if you get on the yooooooooooooottttuuuuuubees and type in TC-16, TC-24, OS giken or twin cam datsun you will hear and see it in action. in the last few years another workshop cam across the original bucks and cast moulds for the heads and now are reproducing them for mega dollars.

the cosworth YBD was the motor in the FORD ESCORT COSWORTH, SIERRA COSWORTH, SAPPHIRE COSWORTH. its basically a grp A motor that they stuck in a road car and is batshit strong and stupidly powerfull..

Ahh... I have heard of these engines... but it still doesn't change the fact that I , or many others for that matter can give and accure portrayal of their relavence on the list.. I voted Beams.. purely cause I've acctually seen them used. and its also the newest hence most advanced...

I guess because YOU haven't heard of these engine, no one else has. I'm truly amazed that so called enthusiasts HAVEN'T heard of these engines!!

I guess that's the difference between 'messing with cars' and living and breathing cars!!!

I guess the OS Giken one is a bit specialised BUT to not heard of a Cosworth YDB, what rock have been living under in that 12 years of messing with cars!!!!!I am truly shocked you hadn't heard of the Cosworth YDB....WTF!!!

This thread has very quickly given me an idea of how much some of the so called experts on this site really know

and for the last time I know there are lots more engines BUT I can only put 10 in, can't you fuckers understand that!!!!

If you don't want to vote for one on the list because I left your FANBOY engine off, well I'm sorry.....only 10 selections!!!

    I voted the cosworth.

I got into cars when my uncle showed me old pictures of his old lotus escort he had and all the stories associated. He then told me about the BDA's and all that...I caught the bug.
