My car is the coupe, the internet famous hatch is onelungderryl's, a member on this board also in california.
Corollas are not common cars at local drift events, but on this day there were like 8 of them, and 5 or 6 were red....so we all had to go out onto the course at once....was a pretty cool day
The event itself was lame, just a parking lot. I'm hoping to get some actual track time when some more funds roll in.
Don't take your carparks for granted man, I'd love to see some carpark skids go down in Australia, legal ones that is
Yeah actually it was a long fight to even get the parking lot....but paying to use a parking lot when we used to use them for free back in 2003 just sucks now!
how come you guys don't have access to parking lots? The US is really litigious, I wouldn't think it would be as hard in oz?
to dangerous cause ALL parking lot in Australia i would think are to small and to close to public people..pedestrians walking on foot path, dogs pissing on trees, school kids, general things you would hit if you were to loose control

Australia isn't as litigious I would suspect but this country isn't as easy going as the rest of the world thinks either. Parking lots are government/council property and the Australian government doesn't give a hoot about motorsport and yeh, as rice said, all parking lots are actually in use all the time pretty much.
theres a carpark near the old folks home that i used to hit up at midnight when i first got my licence. they have a video camera up there now
