Conrod bearings.
broken.
So you reckon the head is fine?
also, should i put a brick on the accelerator and watch it pop?
I don't think the brick is needed. You can still rebuild it. You just have to pull the motor down to every last bolt, inspect everything and start again. If you don't drive it any more the crank maybe fine. Send crank, conrods and pistons to the machine shop to get checked.
how much gold pieces does a rebuild cost these days?
Get on the spanners yourself as much as posible, it saves a lot of money.
Maybe you can pull the motor out, pull all the manifolds and accesories off. Give the machine shop just the bare motor, which is block, sump, head, cam covers, timing belt.
Strip your motor, take it to the shop and get what we call a "strip and quote" and go from there depending on whta price they give to fix it and your budget.
Full rebuild is well over $1000, but if it's a spun big end, maybe you an get the crank ground and the offending rod big end resized, get the appropriate sized bearings and put it together yourself if you feel confident enough.
