    Default ae86 trueno headlights dieing

    Car - trueno gt-apex

    motor - 4ag 16v

    use - daily

problem - headlights were working fine for say a year, then low beams both died, sometimes could wriggle wiring and theyd flicker on and off, now one high beam has died so i cant really drive in the night

occurs/started when - start of this year ?

my guess is just wiring ? if i got a whole hid kit wiring and bulbs etc would that solve problem ? due for an upgrade anyway

havnt checked anything too tired these days to work on the car not used to full time work, but i used to be able to wriggle the wiring near the headlights themselfs and the lowbeams would flick on and off a little

I know this will sound strange but try hitting the dash on the side of the switch with your pam, if it makes the lights come on it will definantly be the switch this is what happened with mine

This is because the wires are soldered directly into the circuitboard, with NO way of taking the load off the joints (so they are constantly pulling on solder + vibration = fail)
So all you're doing when you move the wire is make the dry/cracked solderjoints temporarily touch again.
Electrical things that don't make good connections generate heat which can make FIRESSSS!
