Default What head is best for forced induction (supercharger)

Just looking at my options of what to used in an engine build, what head is the best for forced induction via a SC14 charger?

So far im planning on using a 7afe block/crank w/forged rods + pistons and the sc14 with a 70mm solid pulley (approx 14psi) and im just trying to get some info on what head would better suit this application, big port, small port, 20v, black top, silvertop?!?

Anyone else done the 1.8lt build with a charger?

(i like chargers for drivability sake and that you never fall off boost and theres nothing like a good whine)

I have wanted someone to do this for a long time. Use the earlier model 4agze pistons to offset some of the compression ratio increase. I was under the impresson the 20V heads where the most ideal but I have my doubts as I would take a non edducted guess and say the supercharger itself is the biggest limitter of power.

i was looking at twin charging to allow high end power using a simular set up to the VW golf TSI, but this was a massive job to undertake so ill stick to supercharger with a smaller pulley cos im not a fan of lag.

ive found some people say that the best forced induction head is the silver top 20v

I think you will struggle to find the difference between the 20V engines. If you want response go for about a 10:1 compression ratio and a T25 turbo with that 7A bottom end, I think you will be shocked.

lol i were for vw and you'll find all cav type 118kw tsi twinchargers are frying pistons, and are getting de-tuned for less instant torque.

i say go turbo, i heard that a wrx turbo doesnt give much lage on a 4age?

be different and twin charge it if you have the time and money, as if it is done correctly the touque and how it will deliver the power will be amazing
