Online vicroads vehicle status checks
I found this and it might be usefull to you guys:
put in someones plate or your own and it tells you the engine, model, when the rego runs out and so on. Ontop of that it shows if its been listed as encoumbered or stolen as well so you can do quick checks for cars you want to buy.
