awesome first car man, congrats! looking good, handbrake doesn't really suit the car but your choice
Hi,
Recently picked up this ke10. I think I'm on the wrong forum, But i'll give it a shot.
It's my first car, I haven't got my l's yet... going for the tomorrow. I'm picking up a ke30 or ke70 I think from a granny in the suburb for $200. It's in perfect condition and I plan on taking the motor, box and a few other little part's from that and putting them into the 10.
Well I bought it off ebay for a pretty good price in my opinion, It was in Wyong.
Here's some flick's.
Ebay picture
Relocated to it's new home.
Chilling in the Garage.
Side view, Body's straight.. minimal cancer in the car, only on the bolt on panels and a little in the window sill's
Started to pull it apart
First attempt at removing some cancer from the old girl
Cut, plated, welded then bogged up.
Pulled a wheel off to find what seem's to be ke20 struts with ke30 discs.
I'm going to have to space out the rim's, but then If I do that they will rub and won't fit inside the guards so I may have to get some skinnier rim's and stretch some tyres
Sanded it back, chucked on some primer for now.
Oh, Found this in the garage too. Might use it, or I might make myself a Billet Hydraulic hand brake
My name's Jordain too. Tell me what you think and don't be hating hahah.

I'm liking the look of a billet hyrdo handbrake, billet floor pedal's and a deep dished wheel. Should really set the car off. The handbrake looks abit to.... Supercheep auto lol.
Awesome loving the shape of the earlier corollas, and yes the handbrake looks too supercheap haha, wheels even look good ! what sizes?
Wheel's are Simmons V1's. They are 4x110 15x about 7.5 inch. The rear's have Dunlop slick's ... which are pretty cool hahaha. I'm going to roll the rubber off, get one of the barrels welded, one needs a little lathe job to remove some light gutter rash then i'll polish all 4 up and get some new stretched rubber onto them.
Couldn't agree more, I'm loving the older style Corolla's. Originally was going to get a bmw and be sensible but I seen a hot ke70 going around and then I googled around and seen a few Ke10's. Then my old man told me he has owned 5 ke10's, 1 spinter, a few celica's, ke20 and a ke16 wagon. My jaw dropped, I thought he owned a torana and that was it ahahaha.
My plan's for the car in the long run is a 4k motor, then a 4age then drop a 4agze or 3sge motor in sometime.
Looking out for a T series diff in sydney for it aswell, Then I'll look for a t50 box.

the k-t bllhousing is bullshit rare so i'd scratch that upgrade until you go to 4a but yeah those rims don't look to bad at all
Oh, I ment i'd like upgrade the motor, diff, gearbox all in one hit. I plan on using the 4k motor/box and ke10 diff for a while.. I may have a small port 4age for a good price from a mate.
one of these is on my list of cars i want to do a resto on. i love them thats stupidly clean/straight to good find.
Managed to get a set of 15x6 Simmon's outer barrels in perfect condition. Got the tyres taken of the ring's, I'm going to polish all the rim's up and get the centres painted black. Sand blasting the centres tomorow afternoon.
Update soon.
Just going to go with a 4k/k40 or k50 box and the stock ke10 diff.
Need to get this registered and past the blue slip so I can do some little thing's that might get knocked back.
I'm going to tint the tail light's black, only slightly, don't worry as they are rare lol.
