in reference to mod plating, what state are you from? also could you tell me how much it cost and little things to look out for etc, i have a CA18DET KE70 and i'd like to make it legal if its not too much $$$
Cheers,
Dillon
t series rear end ?
How is that holding up ? More pics please ??
foamy - I used bretts (purple ae86 sprinter) 4age crossmember which have the mounts cut down with RB25 mounts which sits the motor low and literally hard up against the firewall as possible. It seems to balance the extra wait of the CA over the stock 4ac. The T-series is just a direct bolt in the only mod to it is the swaybar mounts but if u get the series 2 T-series thay have the swaybar mounts already welded on.
20v ae71 - Its pritty simple in queensland i dont know about NSW,SA or other states but mainly just bigger brakes up front, FMIC mounted properly. If ur trying to make it legal do it properly from the start instead of taking short cuts. Off the top of my head i think i paid 220 for the first mod plate and every mod plate after that it was 110 i think. Thay have to mod plate FMIC, G/Box, motor and diff well thats wat i got mod plated any wase.
Mr 86 - The T-series is just a diff i banged together for now and i know thay arnt strong at all when it comes to turboed motors but it was a bit of a rush job for now and so far so good (touch wood). I will b getting an E-series soon with coilover rear end and disk brakes.
I will take more pics tomoro of G/box and engine mounts and diff for those who r interested in them.
plan sounds tuff
Where are you located ??
located in bayside (southeast brisbane) and i will add a big thanks to nizz pro aswell becauz thay contributed to alot of it aswell as time was a major factor. Tops to them great people to deal with
Ok little bit of an update not much tho. Iv pulled my t-series out grinded mounts off, prepped the e-series for new mounts to b welded up and will b getting a fresh coat of paint also. Diff is getting welded up on wkend and hopefully all back together by sunday
If anyone is chasing t-series axles or rebuilt drum brakes or locked centre let me no it's all just sitting here
Just a bit of an update will get pics soon
T series replaced with E series
15x8 -4 superlights
18mm whiteline rear swaybar
AJPS adjustable panhard rod
Just few updated pics
