Well good
The discussion I had with him, he felt it was now only slightly quicker than his 7ag, it does have more torque however which certainly help on the big QR corners...nothing for us 7ag owners to get emo over however
Well good
well you've probley only gained 30-40hp really. you went over 200 with the 7a yes?
Soo many revolutions per minute
well done sir
Harro. Nothing overly exciting to report. After the last drift day, i noticed my diff nose was smashing the trans tunnel on clutch-kicks (even though i hadn't changed rear ride height) - turned out my trailing arm bushes were completely flogged. Also, as you can hear in some of my last videos, my crown wheel/pinion was starting to get quite noisy, so decided to overhaul everything at the back.
So i took the diff out, and got duncan @ top cog to have a look at it - nek minnit, he decides that my diff housing and LSD should be modified for a bit of toe in and camber(!!) Not sure if it was the right move or not (as there isn't a massive amount of info out there on camber/live-axle stuff) - but a heap of competitive cars seem to do it - so i'll give it a try.
All new superpro trailing arm bushes, and an AJPS panhard rod.
Though maybe not overly noticeable, they're bent.
While the diff was out, and stripped of everything, i also took the opportunity to weld another panhard mount about ~10cm down on the diff, to lower the rear RCA down substantially.
The new angle of the panhard rod is pretty much perfectly horizontal. Don't mind all the crap under the car, i had an offroad excursion last track day. I also fitted some 7kg rear springs, that are slightly taller than my TRD springs - should have less of that gay 'raked' look.
Unfortunately i ran out of light, so pictures of the car and such will have to wait till tomorrow. I have some more things i'll be doing before matsuri (6th/7th), so i'll try and do another update soon.
Xoxoxo
Still wanna see these rack spacers...
