this is one of the new mods happening with my motor...
intake manifold is/has been wedged to increase the angle of the intake...its not a very common thing in the ae86 circles, but i have stubbled across a few clubmans that have done it, also matt trevenas boss has performed the same mod on his crazy clubman 20v although ALOT more aggressively and with ALOT more port work involved...
the idea is to straighten the intake path slightly more so...gain extra clearance between the water outlet and manifold for when i decide to attach the water/meth injection and i guess to make the motor stand out from others...especially with the more aggressive ramp on the manifold/stacks...looking at photos im pretty confident that i should also be able to fit 100mm stacks and need very little machining to clear a brake booster...to give you an idea on how much it has changed, the vacuum chamber is now only a couple mm from touching the covers
i havent got any photos of it fitted...nor do i honestly think its going to be worth the effort from a performance point of view...but i do need the extra clearance for the water/meth nozzles
