good work man, i'm just about 2 start my sr86 project aswell.
do u like how the sr sit's in the engine bay with the sr crossmember?? was it hard to fit???
keep up the good work,
stephen
dont use the sr box. use a rb box. shifter lines up with original hole.
what diff u gonna run?
yeah seems to fit nicely, didnt have to do much work just oval out the holes so it lines up properly..
iv read that but then again iv also read that it needs to be cut no matter what which would make sense cos my mates s13 was running an rb box and the shifter was in the same hole so if it was further forward wouldnt he have needed to cut his silvia? i dont mind gettin the grinder out and re cutting the hole anyways.
and probably gonna run a r31 diff. was told a jdm sprinter diff would last and bolt straight in but i dont wanna keep having axle probs. and i can get the 31 diff shorterned and mounts re-welded for bout $1000 apparently still got some researching to do..
u done any research on the s13 x member and suspension geometry??
using the s13 x member gives you reaaally bad front end geometry
LCAS come UP on quite a harsh angle to the balljoint end and creats reallllly bad understeer and roll centre
have seen this done an a 86 around here and old bud cant stand it lol
good luck with the build looks like it will be some fun when its done
oh fair enough, i think simon ke70 is running the same setup and he never mentioned any under steer issues, oh well trial and error i guess lol.
im more than likely gonna put bluebird lca's on it instead of the s13 as theyr alot shorter.
maybe that will correct it a lil bit, i dont really see how the x member makes any difference as it basically sits in the same position as the corolla 1, its just the lca's what are different..
cheers anyway on the info.
yep i know the dude brendan is talking about and he hated it enough to change his whole front end back over to ae86 gear
Yeah ive driven a sr ke70 and it felt weird but not bad.
Look how good simons car works probly the best ke steerer around.
