Got some pipes today to start making exhaust. An old muffler I was planning to use ages ago finally will have a use Hopefully will have some of it done tomorrow (at least the dump I hope).



Speaking of, not much room to work with.


90Degree bend needs to be cut on the curve which will make it around 3"x3.5" but i really need it to be 3.75"x2"! Looks like a lot of cutting and bashing is going to be needed :/

Would be nice. I guess I will see how things pan out (still have SOME gear left - would still need a few custom things done though so probs not worth it ).

Been looking at how this pws is going to work (vac idle up lines). Not sure if I should just remove cold start and block off the pws lines and just increase the idle...

Didn't get much done today. Was too hot (and still is, and will still be hot for the next week) but got halfway through making the dump.

3" doesn't leave me with much room....

Perfect, make sure you put head shields around the dump to protect wiring etc, i did it to mine and it makes a hell of a difference, no more melting haha, keep it up !

Cheers man. Yeah planning to use that ACL heat shield sheets to wrap around the turbo, dump and possibly exhaust manifold. Just need to remember who sells it, otherwise ebay i guess.

So i finished the dump off today in the early morning and then did the first part of the exhaust to the cat, all in the comfort of 37+ temps




I think I might make the exhaust a little higher, probably another 1/2" up

Update:

Adaptronic still has not arrived! Hopefully will turn up sometime this week

Exhaust is now completely routed and tacked together. Ended up raising the first bit by about 1/2inch so it now sits up closer to the floor, with the exhaust running as high as possible next to the tail shaft.

Rear section is flanged before the diff so I have the option of changing the rear section setup. Plan to make a straight pipe with shotgun tips (as well as an over diff 3" legal thing at some stage). Currently need to modify the last hanger which should raise the rear section a little higher.

Exhaust now finished and fully welded. Going to give it a coat of paint then put the car on the ground.

Got cooler pipes back after being tig'ed.

Modified pws pump bracket to allow for oil feed hose.


To do list:
Fit water lines, including a t-piece into heater lines - can be obtained from repco but gonna go to enzed first
Finalise water setup
Get a 5/8" oil hose for the oil drain (annoying since auto stores near me dont have that size!)
Mount waste gate actuator on custom bracket
Clamp and seal up any loose ends and fill all the fluids
Make loom
Start car
tune
...
skids?

Chance to make the drift practise in march, but think april session is a little more realistic
