Yep, had a brand new carter 4070 fuel pump fail on the way out.
replaced with old pump and got there by 11 - straight onto driftoramarama which is a pain in the ass with old fuel pump as it cant provide enough fuel flow and the carb bowls empty after sliding turn 2 in 4th!
Still had some fun testing new lines with no line up for the last 45mins. Mate got a few good photo's as well

did you just do your rear guards with a hammer? they're pretty much how I want mine

yeh hammer and dolly man. just to get the lip on a similar angle to the guard, and to beat the inner skin closer to the outer.
with the 8-15 i was rubbing a bit on the shoulder of the tread (up in side the guard, not on the actual outer face of tyre)
with the 8.5 -7 with 5mm slip on, absolutely zero rub. both with 185/60. more wheel poke, with less tyre poke? if that makes sense.

Same mate that drove me home to pick up old fuel pump and drove me back to a main road to fit it! <3
For reference, i purchased a brand new Carter 4070 fuel pump from EMA (made in USA) and it failed after 15 minutes of use, on the way to the track.
The pump motor still runs fine but it doesn't actually pump so i assume it has had an internal failure. It is currently getting replaced under warranty.
